The Care and Support Alliance has submitted a representation for the 2026 Autumn Budget. We have called for short-term investment to support the social care system and the older people, disabled people and unpaid carers who draw on it right now, as we await Baroness Casey’s report and recommendations for large-scale reform which is due to be published Summer 2027.
We hope that this year’s Autumn Budget delivers the funding needed to bridge the gap, and relieve acute pressure on local authorities, care professionals, unpaid carers and everyone who is struggling to get good quality, reliable care and support.
